Jamichael Henterly has illustrated about 10 books in his spectacular style of realistic images rendered in watercolor. The detail in both flora and fauna is stunning. Jamichael grew up in Ohio and received his BA in English and Secondary Education from Western Washington University in Bellingham. He carries K-12 teaching credentials with arts and english endorsements. He is a volunteer firefighter and EMT, and has spent parts of the last ten years hanging out in a forest service fire watch tower. Jamichael lives with his wife and two daughters, Lael and Skye, in Deming, Washington along the beautiful Nooksack River.
